About First of October
First of October is a "one day a year" band consisting of musicians Rob Scallon and Andrew Huang. The band began with a challenge to write and record an entire album within a single 10 hour studio session on October 1st, 2018. This session culminated in the release of their first album, "Ten Hours". Every year since, with the exception of 2020, the band has reconvened on the first day of October to write and record a new album. This tradition gave the band its name.
