Producer Jamie xx reimagines Gil Scott-Heron's final album, I'm New Here, as a beguiling electronic experiment; the Englishman’s sleek, shimmery production turns the jazz-funk poet’s raw urban tales into supple grooves. "I'm New Here" sets Scott-Heron’s husky baritone against a bass-heavy backdrop with high-pitched Gloria Gaynor samples, and "Running" rides on choppy breakbeats and steel drums.
