The title track is the actual tale of his Tennessee home burning down. He was on tour; his wife and kids escaped without harm. Such a reminder of mortality chokes up this man’s man, who elsewhere shows further love for family and tradition with “Just Fishin’” and an empathy for the many people who have made him a star. “Days Like This” proves everyone has days that test one’s patience. “That’s What You Get” throws a muscular rock groove and a swirling organ into Adkins’ pure country. “Love Buzz” adds a slinky harmonica blues to the mix. “It’s Who You Know” spotlights stellar harmonies and a sad human truth.
