Meridian Winter Lights Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting

November 30, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Downtown Meridian will glow with the spirit of Christmas as the City of Meridian hosts the 2018 Winter Lights Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration presented by Borton-Lakey Law and Policy.
Look for more than 50 brightly lit floats, marching bands, and walking entries to usher in the holiday season. Mayor Tammy will be joined by local celebrities Ken Bass and Deb Courson from 94.9fm The River as our emcees for the evening.

Immediately following the parade, we’ll celebrate the lighting of Meridian’s giant Christmas tree in Generations Plaza and help Santa set off fireworks to celebrate the season, sponsored by Dutch Bros.

Several generous businesses and organizations are offering free hot cocoa along the parade route. Be sure to arrive at the parade in time to view our showings of the animated classic movie “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. It will be project on the side of the Heritage Buildling at the corner of Idaho and Main Street at 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Then stick around after the tree lighting for free horse-drawn carriage rides made possible by Les Schwab.

The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Charlie Rountree.
