Boise’s own KQXR, 100.3 The X Rocks, has been named 2016 Medium Market Radio Station of the Year by the Rock Radio Awards.
“This award reflects the passion and hard work the entire staff puts into The X on a daily basis.” KQXR Program Director Jeremy Nicolato said.
“To be nominated every year since the awards began in 2011 has been quite the feather in our cap. It shows that the emphasis The X puts on setting itself apart from other rock stations in the Treasure Valley is being noticed not just by listeners in Idaho, but on a national level. That’s a big deal.” Nicolato said.
Nicolato says The X’s focus on live, local on air personalities and fun, unique promotions help the station stand out.
KQXR has been nominated five times for the Station Of The Year and has now brought home the honor twice from the Rock Radio Awards, which are handed out by RadioContraband yearly in Las Vegas. The Awards honor the best in rock radio, bands, personalities and stations nationwide.
