  • DVDumbass, Important Stuff and Kevin Murphy

In sports, a deal has been reached with some Seattle investors to purchase the Sacramento Kings. That’s right, the Seattle Supersonics will be back! In other news, our friends in Korn recently did a great thing for a guy named Tyler Sims through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Check it out below.

  • Brian Welch, Madden Tourney and Dave Grohl + Corey Taylor

This morning we received a phone call from this guy named Brian Welch. You might know him as the former lead guitarist and co-founder of this little band called Korn. Yeah, f$%#ing Korn! Brian's new band, Love and Death, has an album coming out tomorrow, so he was kind enough to chat with us about that as well as what's going on with Korn. Check out the full interview right here and the video for "Chemicals" below.

  • Big J's Life Lesson, Natascha McElhone and Playoffs?!

What happened to the NFL Playoffs?! With all the current stories regarding college sports, coaching scenarios and performance enhancing debacles, it seems as though everyone has completely left the Playoffs in the dust. You know, there are two huge games going on this Sunday that will determine who travels to New Orleans for the Super Bowl. That being said, grab some grub, invite some friends over and enjoy some good ol’ football this weekend.

  • Tech Tour, Racing for Smiles and Retirement Time

Our pal Ron Hayes stopped by the studio this morning to chat about Racing for Smiles as they have a great charity event coming up on Saturday, January 26th. "So You Think You Can Race" is a nice little charity driven event that will take place out at Fastland Indoor Kart Racing in Boise. Go have some fun, race some carts and help out a fantastic cause.

  • Papa Sheen, Branded and Barter Kings

Charlie Sheen was today’s “Bad Impression.” He’s currently in the news because we just found out that will soon be a Grandfather. Sheen’s 28-year-old daughter, Cassandra Estevez, and her husband are expecting a baby. Congratulations to the Sheen-Estevez family!

  • DVDumbass, Jason Newsted and Decay

Sevendust sits just a few days away from retirement on Cage Match. Their latest track, “Decay,” has been bulldozing its way through challengers. Check out Sevendust working on their new album below and dial us up tomorrow during the 9 o’clock hour with your song opinions.

  • Jaw Jacked, Winterized Vehicles and Nirvana + Paul McCartney

We played a brand new track from former members of Nirvana with Paul McCartney on Cage Match this morning. To our surprise, it lost to Sevendust by a fairly large margin. Come on people! Are you aware that a majority of the rock music you’re into was most likely somehow influenced by The Beatles and Nirvana.

  • Life Lesson, Heather Donahue and Big J's Playoff Picks

Big J’s “Life Lesson” today was a simple, yet very important message and that is to drive safely in the current weather conditions. Knock the snow out of your wheel wells, otherwise there’s a chance it freezes up and causes even more issues than you might already face. Get up a little sooner and leave early for work, as that option is better than being late for work or speeding to get there, putting yourself and others in danger. Drive slower and if people want to get mad that you aren’t going fast enough, they can go pound sand. If your truck or SUV says 4X4 on it, you don’t have magical winter weather driving powers. Safety first, friends.

  • Snapchat, Adam of Three Days Grace and The Red Light Variety Show

It's Tech Tour time. Big J recently found out about a little app called Snapchat. It allows you to send text messages or photos with a time delay to self destruct in a set amount of minutes after sending. Basically you can snap a shot of your junk, send it off and it will end up deleting after someone sees it. The app is starting to reach the news in an attempt to create awareness for parents due to the rising popularity amongst teens.

  • Cosmopolis, Rich Eisen and Song Fights

After a narrow victory over a great track from Bullet For My Valentine yesterday, Sevendust took on Eye Empire this morning on Cage Match. Needless to say, Sevendust rolled on with their track "Decay" and will endure another speed bump tomorrow.

  • DVDumbass, Dennis Haysbert and Miss Alabama

Pete has returned from the Rose Bowl, which means Sports with Pete is back! As you probably know, there was a big college football game last night. Well, it wasn’t much of a game and all you need to know is this:

  • Parental Punch, Kim Iversen and Sevendust

This morning, Big J punched a particular mall store right in the face for not having an 18 and over age restriction when venturing into certain parts of the store. A child of any age can just wander towards the back of the store and pick up any adult item of their choice. Big J never had to worry about this scenario during his younger years of browsing the store, but now that he’s a full-fledged father of two daughters, he has a slightly different opinion on the matter.

  • Ozzy Airport, Big J's Life Lesson and Sexiest City

Your very own city of Boise has made the list of Top 10 Sexiest Cities, ranking in at #5 in the national. We also rank 10th overall in condom sales and 2nd in birth rate. So, what I get from this study is that Boise is buying plenty of condoms, but not properly using them.

  • Tech Tour, 2013 Predictions and Buckcherry

To kick off a new year, we came up with a list of predictions that will be locked and sealed in a safe place until the beginning of 2014. At that time we will pull them back out and see where these predictions stand.

  • Val Kilmer, Big J's Pigskin Punch and the Return of Cage Match

Val Kilmer was today’s target for Bad Impressions. The man, the myth, the legend of Val turned 53-years-old on Monday. Happy Birthday to our favorite honorary Boisean!

  • Big J's Surgery, Best Of Week and Happy Holidays

Three important things for the week:

  • Andrew Dice Clay, Top 5 Lists and Christmas Vacation

Funny man, Andrew Dice Clay, was kind enough to chat with us this morning. He has a comedy special called Audacious which airs December 31st on Showtime. He called to tell us all about that and what he’s been up to as of recent. Check out the full interview right here.

  • DVDumbass, Josh Stewart and Final Four

During the last DVDumbass of the year, Big J took a pass on “Blue Lagoon: The Awakening” and “The Good Doctor” to watch a film called “Bro,” which is about none other than the world of Motocross. Check out the trailer below and tune in tomorrow during the 6 o’clock hour for the review.

  • Life Lessons, Boise Bombers and Toys for Tots

Spencer, Jeff and Monica joined us in the studio this morning to chat about their big wheelchair rugby event taking place this weekend. It’s all to benefit Toys for Tots. Please, do what you can and check out this event. All the info is right here.

  • Camp Fred, Clue #3 and Mick Foley

Yesterday, Big J picked up a movie called “Fred 3: Camp Fred” from the ol’ Redbox for his weekly DVDumbass selection. Well, as expected, the movie was just awful. Instead of breaking a rule from the DVDumbass handbook and pressing stop, he forged on, but spent that time to e-mail, fbook, etc. That being said, you can skip “Fred 3: Camp Fred.”
