A couple of gents from a band called Fly2Void stopped by the studio this morning. You might be familiar with a few of their tunes that we used to play on the ol’ radio speakers here at The X. The band just released their first album in 11 years, but “This Time Around” things are a bit different. The guys have all grown up and so has their music. This album is a collective creation that best suits each band member and represents the band as a whole. Although the new disc was mixed by Jay Baumgarder of Papa Roach and Sevendust fame and mastered by Tom Baker (Beastie Boys, NIN), Fly2Void wrote, created and produced it all on their own terms. No record labels or studios riding them, demanding how to formulate each song. No limitations. Just four friends creating some tunes and enjoying it along the way. Find out more about that in the full audio version of the interview right here. You can check out the album, "Take On The World" on iTunes and Spotify, or even pick up a copy at The Record Exchange. Catch the boys tonight as they celebrate the release of the new album at The Knitting Factory in Boise. The Fav and Actual Depiction are set to open the show, which starts at 7:30PM (Doors @ 6:30PM). Need tickets? The band will give them to you for FREE right here.
We also had another guest pop by this morning. A great guy by the name of Ryan Sigman joined the show to chat about a very, very important cause called “Miracles for Mirika.” This is a such a heartbreaking story. You can find out more by clicking here and also check out the full audio from the interview with Ryan right here. Please, please do anything you can to help them out. Here’s how you can contribute:
- 1. Donate at any Idaho Central Credit Union under “Miracles for Mirikia.”
