Popcorn Punch, Evil Dead Review and Coming Soon

  • Print

Today we switched things up a bit and Nic delivered the “Punch in the Face” rather than our beloved Big J. After attending a few movies over the weekend, Nic decided it’s time to jaw-jack those people who complain about high ticket prices and then talk throughout the entire movie. Save yourself $10 and go yap somewhere else.

Speaking of movies, the new Evil Dead film reached #1 at the box office over the weekend and The Morning After crew had a chance to check it out yesterday. Our overall consensus was that this was an interesting remake of the original 1981 film, full of gruesome scariness. If you’re a fan of the Evil Dead series or just enjoy a solid horror flick in general, then go for it. We talked to the Director, Fede Alvarez, last week and he had brought up the fact that people were fainting and vomiting during the debut screening out at SBSW. At first you start to wonder what could possibly take place on the screen for that to happen and then bam!

Oh and speaking of Evil Dead, we will be chatting up one of the lead actors on tomorrow’s show. Lou Taylor Pucci will be calling in during the 7 o’clock hour to discuss his experience on the set and we might even ask him about how some of the super grotesque scenes were created. Stay tuned for that and more chances to win Bullet for My Valentine, Halestorm and Young Guns tickets, along with passes to our Halestorm X Session and qualifiers for Rock on the Range.

Nic - I    Big J

Monday - Happy Birthday Peter Loeffler! Hard to pick a favorite Chevelle song which is probably why there was a tie between Anj's choice of The Clincer and Big J's choice of Send the Pain Below. Tie it is.

Tuesday -  Songs that could use subtitles that make sense?  The tie goes to Nic with his choice of Pearl Jam Yellow Leadbetter although Big J's choice of Static X Cannibal was just as inaudiable.

Wednesday -  Humpday WAR!

Thursday -  War with Rock

Friday -Rock War your ass into the weekend..!@
