Tech Tour, Idaho Youth Ranch and Skyfall
During this week’s “Tech Tour,” we learned about “Photoshop Touch,” which is basically a mini version of Photoshop for your smartphone. If you have an iPhone 5, Android 4.0+, or an iPad, you can grab this app in your respective app store for just $5. Also in tech news, one of the Paypal founders is creating a new company which uses Fbook to verify your identity in order to gain access to credit. It’s called “Affirm” and is rumored to work somewhat like a virtual tab. Warning: you do have to pay off your tab, so keep that in mind when you’re waist deep in porn. Look for more info on that soon.
Jeff Myers of the Idaho Youth Ranch stopped by the studio this morning to chat about a myriad of things, including the opening of five new Youth Ranch locations throughout Idaho. They also have five programs that run throughout the state to help at-risk youth find a more promising future. Not to mention, 70+% of the funding for these programs comes directly from the sales at thrift stores, so when people shop, donate, or volunteer, they are directly supporting Idaho kids in need. Check out www.youthranch.org for more info.
It’s Skyfall Day! If you didn’t already know, we are screening Skyfall 007 tonight at Northern Lights Cinema Grill in Nampa’s Karcher Mall. The movie starts at 7PM and is completely FREE, but you must have a Golden Ticket to enter (we have been giving these out during the show for the past few weeks). See there, tuning into our little radio station can actually benefit you after all. See you tonight, friends.
