Bad Impression, Big J's Life Lesson and 57 Heavy

  • Print

We closed out the week with a little “Bad Impressions” action. Jimmy Kimmel found himself as today’s target for a little stunt he pulled with Matt Damon recently. It became almost notorious that Kimmel would close out his show with the line, “sorry to Matt Damon, we ran out of time tonight,” in reference to when he would jokingly bump Matt Damon from the broadcast. This time, Mr. Damon fired back. He managed to tie up Kimmel and host the show himself, bringing out a plethora of celebrity cameos. Take a look for yourself below.

Big J also sent us into the weekend with a “Life Lesson.” With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Big J wanted to stress the importance of making plans now, before it gets down to the last second. Even if your lady claims that it’s no big deal, don’t buy it! She's a woman, it's a big deal. If you need some assistance in your Valentine’s Day planning, feel free to reach out to Big J at bigj@xrock.com for some ideas. If you’re single and searching for some love, sign up for our Ultimate Blind Date challenge right here. As for me, I plan on just ignoring the cheesy love day this year. Sorry ladies.

The band, 57 Heavy, stopped by the studio this morning. They have an album release show coming up at The Knitting Factory tomorrow (Saturday) night and the guys were kind enough to wake up early and chat with us about that. Find out more info and get your tickets to the show right here.

Nic - II    Big J - I

Monday - Happy Birthday Peter Loeffler! Hard to pick a favorite Chevelle song which is probably why there was a tie between Anj's choice of The Clincer and Big J's choice of Send the Pain Below. Tie it is.

Tuesday -  Songs that could use subtitles that make sense?  The tie goes to Nic with his choice of Pearl Jam Yellow Leadbetter although Big J's choice of Static X Cannibal was just as inaudiable.

Wednesday -  Happy Birthday Spike Jones!  Thank You for the awesome videos you gave us. Today's rock war ends in yet ANOTHER TIE.  Nic's choice of Tenacious D Wonderboy beats Big J's choice of Beastie Boys Sabotage.  Hard to chose for sure but somebody has to come out victorious.

Thursday -  Reality shows are everywhere!  What band would you tune in to watch week after week?  Big J wins with All that Remains Stand up beating Nic's Puddle of Mudd Give me Shelter choice.

Friday - In honor of Mark Zuckerberg delivering a speech in Chinese we will war with bilingual songs. Big J's Romstein America beats out  Nic's Beck Loser.
