Tech Tour, Racing for Smiles and Retirement Time

  • Print

Attention gamers! The Playstation 4 and Xbox 720 will be unveiled at E3 this June. The Playstation 4 will be 4K compatible while the new Xbox will have Skype already built in. In other tech news, MySpace is back! Uh, yay I guess? Justin Timberlake has taken over and is attempting to boost the music aspect of MySpace. Although this is a great tool for upcoming bands to put their music out into the public, I’m a huge fan of finding new artists via Spotify. On top of that, where the bleep is Fbook at in the world of music?! How has the largest and most popular social networking website not focused more on the universal language of music? Come on Zuckerberg!

Our pal Ron Hayes stopped by the studio this morning to chat about Racing for Smiles as they have a  great charity event coming up on Saturday, January 26th. "So You Think You Can Race" is a nice little charity driven event that will take place out at Fastland Indoor Kart Racing in Boise. Go have some fun, race some karts and help out a fantastic cause.

We have our first Cage Match retirement of 2013! That’s right, Sevendust went on a nine day run with their track “Decay,” which just might be in our regular rotation here on ol’ radio station here soon. Stay dialed in for that and check back tomorrow as we have a fresh new song battle in the works!

Nic - II    Big J - I

Monday - Happy Birthday Peter Loeffler! Hard to pick a favorite Chevelle song which is probably why there was a tie between Anj's choice of The Clincer and Big J's choice of Send the Pain Below. Tie it is.

Tuesday -  Songs that could use subtitles that make sense?  The tie goes to Nic with his choice of Pearl Jam Yellow Leadbetter although Big J's choice of Static X Cannibal was just as inaudiable.

Wednesday -  Happy Birthday Spike Jones!  Thank You for the awesome videos you gave us. Today's rock war ends in yet ANOTHER TIE.  Nic's choice of Tenacious D Wonderboy beats Big J's choice of Beastie Boys Sabotage.  Hard to chose for sure but somebody has to come out victorious.

Thursday -  Reality shows are everywhere!  What band would you tune in to watch week after week?  Big J wins with All that Remains Stand up beating Nic's Puddle of Mudd Give me Shelter choice.

Friday - In honor of Mark Zuckerberg delivering a speech in Chinese we will war with bilingual songs. Big J's Romstein America beats out  Nic's Beck Loser.
