Tech Tour Time, Toys for Tots and Jared Harris of Lincoln
During this week’s “Tech Tour,” Big J brought a pretty cool new smartphone app to our attention. The app, called Vapp, allows you to control your phone’s camera via voice commands. This would come in handy during those solo bathroom duck face shots or when trying to use the timer to take a group photo. The app basically allows you to scream a camera command at your phone without having to push buttons or awkwardly hold it.
Also in the world of tech news, Acer has unveiled a new Chromebook which will sell for $199 and includes a 320GB hard drive, HDMI output, 3 USB ports, etc. The Chromebook is built with an 11.6-inch screen and weighs in at just over 3 pounds.
Staff Sgt. Brady stopped by the studio to educate us further on Toys for Toys and why we should all help out this Holiday Season. There are currently 176 Toys for Tots boxes around the Valley, including Marines taking donations at every entrance of the Boise State Football game this Saturday. The goal this year is 75,000 toys to help out at least 25,000 kids. We ask all of you to please do whatever you can to help out this cause. All it takes is one toy to make a child’s Holiday Season.
The movie “Lincoln,” comes out in theatres tomorrow, so this morning we had an actor from the film join us on the show. Jared Harris, who plays Ulysses S. Grant, talked to us all about his role in “Lincoln” and what to expect when you sit in front of the big screen this weekend. Check out that interview right here and peep on the trailer below.
