Arthur Christmas, Social Media Chaos and The Darkness

  • Print

As Big J’s revenge on DVDumbass this week, I (RoboRandy) was stuck watching an animated children’s Christmas movie called “Arthur Christmas.” The storyline was about Santa Claus delivering the perfect Christmas, minus one thing; he forgot just one girl. So, Santa’s son, Arthur, decides to save Christmas for the little girl and embarks on a journey around the globe, full of trials and tribulations. To make a long and boring story short, I fell asleep twice during the film and got some weird looks from my roommate when he came home and caught me watching an animated kid’s flick all by myself. However, the animation was great and I’d recommend the movie for anyone with kids.

With Britt as our special co-host today, we sat down and discussed the post election chaos. You know, all the raving and ranting throughout all of the social networking platforms. Some people are thrilled, some people are outraged. Instead of feeding into the 8 million status updates, we all did things like hide friends who were posting annoying banter, poke fun at those who want to move to Canada, and quite frankly, just not give a bleep. Here’s my take; instead of taking the time to post negative things, we should all be focusing our energy on making a difference in the world and making our country a better place. Don’t always point fingers and blame others, because it all starts with you.

During today’s Cage Match, The Darkness knocked off Imagine Dragons and their one day stint as the Champion. Tune in tomorrow for more new tunes.

Nic - II    Big J - I

Monday - Happy Birthday Peter Loeffler! Hard to pick a favorite Chevelle song which is probably why there was a tie between Anj's choice of The Clincer and Big J's choice of Send the Pain Below. Tie it is.

Tuesday -  Songs that could use subtitles that make sense?  The tie goes to Nic with his choice of Pearl Jam Yellow Leadbetter although Big J's choice of Static X Cannibal was just as inaudiable.

Wednesday -  Happy Birthday Spike Jones!  Thank You for the awesome videos you gave us. Today's rock war ends in yet ANOTHER TIE.  Nic's choice of Tenacious D Wonderboy beats Big J's choice of Beastie Boys Sabotage.  Hard to chose for sure but somebody has to come out victorious.

Thursday -  Reality shows are everywhere!  What band would you tune in to watch week after week?  Big J wins with All that Remains Stand up beating Nic's Puddle of Mudd Give me Shelter choice.

Friday -Rock War your ass into the weekend..!@
