This week’s Life Lesson, courtesy of radio’s Big J, is to keep calm and stay out of trouble. The lesson comes at the hands of a trip to Ann Morrison Park where a “frolf” disc flew in front of his car the other day. As he drove past the disc instead of stopping, a hippied out “frolfer” became upset and reacted with a display of utter disgust. Instead of stopping to fight the kid as Big J of the past might have done, he kept calm and “chived on.” (Big J's own words) Plus, as he also stated on the show, he would have treated the kid like a “grizzly bear would a man.”
During our Rock Vegas adventure in Las Vegas, we had an opportunity to interview the great folks of All That Remains. The interview actually turned into a 25-minute raw and un-edited round table discussion on the current state of rock music along, what it's like to currently be in a rock band vs. how people actually envision it, along with a plethora of other things. You that will want to take the time to check this one out right here.
Come Monday morning, expect a little shuffle here on The Morning After. That’s right, we took in all of your input from our recent survey and decided to change up a few things, including the addition of “Sports with Pete” during the 9 o’clock hour. On top of that, during the 7 o'clock hour, Abe from the Deftones will be calling into the show to chat with us while the band is out on tour and currently en route to Boise for their big show Tuesday night at the Knitting Factory. Be there or be, um, well not as cool as everyone else that's doing. Yeah, something like that. Just do it! -Nike
