Important Things, Theo Rossi and Hellyeah

  • Print

Friends, I bring you a recap of Thursday’s show:

Heidi Klum is the hotty that landed on Bad Impressions today. She made the news today because after divorcing Seal, she is not dating her bodyguard. More than anything, this was just an excuse for me to post this:

Morning After News: the terms “mommy porn,” “amaze balls,” and “tiger mother,” were chosen to be added into the Webster’s Dictionary. I would just love to sit in with the board of decision makers for just a day while they discuss the words of choice. In sports, the Boise Hawks extended their affiliation with the Chicago Cubs for two more years. Notre Dame is moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference instead of staying independent. Jim Calhoun, the Head Coach of the University of Connecticut basketball team, just announced his retirement. He’s a Hall of Fame coach in my book, pulling in 3 NCAA National Championships and one NIT Championship during his tenure. In music, it's reported that Paul McCartney is currently the wealthiest singer around, worth around $800 million. Bono came in at $600 million, along with Elton John, Mick Jagger, Sting, Dave Matthews and Prince making the list. Our buddy Dave Grohl landed at #11 and James Hetfield at #16, with rockers Axl Rose and Eddie Vedder also rounding out the group.

Important Stuff: in sports, the Green Bay Packers face another tough challenge tonight after their Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Watch the showdown this evening as the Packers face the Chicago Bears. In music, Three Days Grace landed the #1 song in the country for the 8th time in their career with their latest singe, “Chalk Outline.” Their new album, “Transit of Venus,” is set to release on October 2nd, so prepare yourself for that.

Alright Sons of Anarchy fans, Theo Rossi was on the show today to discuss his character, Juice. Check out the full interview right here and the sneak peak of Season 5 below.

Random Headlines: in Alaska, a 19-year-old fisherman survived an entire day of being stranded out in the cold during a fishing trip. How did he do it? Positive thinking. It goes a long way my friends. In Malaysia, a car wash was in cahoots with a next door massage parlor before being busted up. You see where this is going? Yes, buy nine car washes and get a free rub n’ tug. True story.

On Cage Match, Offspring came back after a surprise victory over Chevelle yesterday. But, the streak came to an end when Hellyeah knocked em’ straight to the floor.

Join us tomorrow (Friday) for another big concert announcement. That's right, it's time for another Free X Show and we will be the first to break the news. Also, tune in for your chances to win more free things and maybe have a laugh or two on your way to whatever it is you might be doing while getting up so bleepin' early.
