Big Huge Giant Announcement & Riki Rachtman on Randy Blythe

  • Print

Thank you for closing out your long week with us today. I will keep this one short and sweet so you can get on with your weekend. Three important topics of discussion.

#1 - We proudly announced our TMA 5th Year Birthday Bash which will take place on August 23rd at the Knitting Factory. Our friends Midline, Aranda, Dead Sara and Saving Abel will all be performing for just $8. Yeah, that's an outstading rock show for less than the cost of one album. We are thrilled and you should be too! So get thrilled with us!

#2 - Riki Rachtman, former host of Headbanger's Ball and a man that knows rock, joined us on the show to discuss some insider info on the Randy Blythe situation as he has close ties to the band directly. Check the Podcast of the interview out right here: www.xrock.com/morningafter/podcasts/162362296.html

#3 - Last but not least, New Medice took win #2 on Cage Match and returns on Monday for a battle against Green Day's new track. Yes, I did say Green Day.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you all Monday!

Nic - II    Big J - I

Monday - Happy Birthday Peter Loeffler! Hard to pick a favorite Chevelle song which is probably why there was a tie between Anj's choice of The Clincer and Big J's choice of Send the Pain Below. Tie it is.

Tuesday -  Songs that could use subtitles that make sense?  The tie goes to Nic with his choice of Pearl Jam Yellow Leadbetter although Big J's choice of Static X Cannibal was just as inaudiable.

Wednesday -  Happy Birthday Spike Jones!  Thank You for the awesome videos you gave us. Today's rock war ends in yet ANOTHER TIE.  Nic's choice of Tenacious D Wonderboy beats Big J's choice of Beastie Boys Sabotage.  Hard to chose for sure but somebody has to come out victorious.

Thursday -  Reality shows are everywhere!  What band would you tune in to watch week after week?  Big J wins with All that Remains Stand up beating Nic's Puddle of Mudd Give me Shelter choice.

Friday - In honor of Mark Zuckerberg delivering a speech in Chinese we will war with bilingual songs. Big J's Romstein America beats out  Nic's Beck Loser.
